Why use two soldering irons?
When you are de-soldering SMD resistors or capacitors, use two irons on each pad, its sound complicated to use but its so easy to solder and de-solder SMD components.
Before I was using hot air station for this, so many times the components just goes flying away into to void. So next time when you are trying to remove a SMD, try this method.
There are even soldering iron tweezers available if you are de soldering alot.
